THE TREATMENT PROCESS

1 Preparation

Consultation and Blood Drawn: A consultation and assessment are essential to view suitability. From this point a Blood test is booked to take 1-2 vials needed to be processed over 9 hours and the growth factors, cytokines and platelets will be extracted and divided into 2-4 syringe sessions and frozen for a later date.

Before Treatment: On the procedure day we ensure your scalp is clean before the appointment. Refrain from using any strong scalp treatments or products in the days leading up to your session. The anaesthetic cream will help minimise discomfort during the procedure. Your single syringe of growth factors will be defrosted ready for the treatment.

2 Treatment

Topical anaesthetic cream is applied to the treatment area for your comfort. You might feel the vibration from the pen device, but the needles themselves are usually not felt. Be aware that some areas of the scalp, such as the forehead/hairline, may be more sensitive.

The single vial of your growth factors will be applied to the treatment zone and needled in with an oscillating needle.

3 Post Treatment

Immediately Post-Treatment: The numbing effect will gradually wear off within 2-4 hours. Expect some redness, mild swelling, and possibly a slight headache, which should subside within 24-48 hours. Small blood spot bruises may also appear but typically resolve at 48 hours.
First 48 Hours: Avoid wetting or washing your scalp to allow for optimal healing. Keep your scalp protected from sun exposure. No hats are to be worn during this time.
Day 2-7 (Remodelling Phase): This period is crucial for healing and new hair growth. You might notice finer baby hairs and scalp dryness during this time. The full results continue to improve over the next three months.
Ongoing Treatment: For the best results, repeat the procedure 2-4 treatments at weekly/fortnightly intervals. Depending on your specific needs, more than one series of treatments may be recommended. Home needling rollers, scalp serum and shampoos can be supplied for maintenance.
